Shipping policy
- The Brixton Cake Shop ships throughout the United Kingdom using Royal Mail and `Hermes as our third party shipping carrier.
- Orders are only shipped nationwide, using Royal Mail and `Hermes.
- Orders placed after 3:00 PM BST will be shipped the following shipping day (Monday - Friday) excluding public and business holidays.
NATIONWIDE SHIPPING GUARANTEE
- Shipments can only be delivered to a street address within the United Kingdom.
- Will not to deliver to P.O. Boxes.
- The Brixton Cake Shop is not responsible for delays in delivery times due to incorrect or incomplete addresses or an act of god. eg. snow and storms.
- Shipments that are returned or require rerouting due to incorrect addresses will be subject with additional charges for reshipment and/or relabelling.
- Shipping charges will not be refunded for late deliveries in the event the business is closed or if the recipient is not available to receive the package when delivered, The Royal mail may require a signature for delivery at the discretion of the driver.
- Estimated delivery timelines do not take unexpected weather delays into consideration, which may affect shipping and arrival dates.
LOCAL DELIVERY
- Orders can be delivered using our local courier service for addresses located within the London Borough of Lambeth and Southwark only.
- Local Delivery orders placed after 3:00 PM BST are not eligible for Same Day or Next Day Local Delivery.
- Local Deliveries are made Monday through Saturday excluding holidays.
- You can select your this option at the check out
- We highly recommend that you select a time when someone will be available to accept your Local Delivery package. If our 1st Delivery Attempt is unsuccessful, our Customer Service Team will reach out to you to schedule a 2nd delivery attempt in a future delivery window. ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY.

Orders may be picked up at The Brixton Cake Shop, Herne Hill Branch, 53 - 59 Norwood Road, London, SE24 9AA
GUARANTEED FRESHNESS
All deliveries are sent using quality packaging to ensure the quality and freshness of our products during transit.
For best results, our products should be refrigerated upon arrival and consumed within 5 days of delivery with the exception of our fruit cakes that have a longer shelf life they can be left at an ambient temperature and can last for weeks if stored correctly - alternately be frozen for up to 8 weeks. If you will be storing them in a refrigerator, please allow approximately 10 minutes to reach room temperature or 30 minutes if coming from the freezer.
Color may vary slightly from photographs shown as our products are made by hand.
RETURNS
- Due to the perishable nature of our products, The Brixton Cake Shop does not accept any returns.
- There are no returns or exchanges.
- Circumstance Pending, The Brixton Cake Shop will issue a credit or re-order.
- If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact our Customer Service Team WITHIN 2 DAYS of when the package was received and provide a photo and detailed description of issue, and we will make every effort to make sure you are happy with your order. Due to the perishable nature of our products, all claims submitted after the 48 hour delivery window or without proper photo or order number will not be eligible for return, refund or reship.
CANCELLATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS
Orders may not be cancelled as once an order is placed its packaged and dispatched immediately. For order cancellation or modification requests, please us immediately so we may stop your order (if we can).
We will do our best to accommodate your needs, however, such requests may not be possible due to the order processing schedule.
